WorkCover and return to work Psychologists
Concerns such as low mood and anxiety are quite common following an injury.
They are often very treatable with the help of an experienced psychologist.
Our psychologists are accredited by WorkCover NSW, and NSW Motor Accidents Authority (MAA) to provide treatment services to injured persons with a focus on achieving a safe and sustainable return to work.
As a provider of Clincial Psychology Treatment services, we work with a number of employers, large and small, across Sydney.
Our Psychologists are experienced. We offer a warm welcome and gold standard assessments and treatments for clients, in conjunction with close collaboration with all parties.
Interventions are practical, with a focus on building a client’s self-management skills, to promote a safe return to work of injured workers.
We welcome enquiries and referrals from GP’s, insurers, rehabilitation providers, employers, solicitors, and individuals for psychological assessment and clinical treatment of persons experiencing mental health concerns associated with a compensable work-related injury.
At Mindworx Psychology we can assist with psychological management and recovery from injury. As a part of the worker’s compensation scheme, you may be entitled to Psychologist treatment services in relation to your injury if it is recommended by your Treating Doctor.
Clients may be referred for mental health and emotional concerns such as:
Chronic or persistent pain
Anxiety and Panic
Trauma, PTSD, flashbacks
Problems concentrating/memory difficulties
Changes in appetite/weight
- Mindworx Psychology can seek approval for treatment from your insurer if required - our clients must provide a WorkCover or Comcare medical certificate from your Treating Doctor indicating a recommendation that you see a Psychologist.
- This means these services are provided at no cost to the client.
