Bre is a warm, compassionate and authentic psychologist who is passionate about working with children, adolescents and families. She uses a strength-based, systematic approach, acknowledging that treatment can be most effective when all family members are involved. Bre’s collaborative approach is used to support the child or adolescent as well as the family and wider network involved in the client’s care team. Bre takes great care to create a strong therapeutic alliance to help ensure clients feel heard, respected and understood as a way to support them feel more connected and empowered in their everyday lives.
Bre enjoys and is experienced in working with parents. She is specifically trained in manualised evidence-based treatments for anxiety and externalising behaviour disorders (i.e. Cool Kids and Confident Carers Cooperative Kids). Bre also enjoys working with couples to assist their own wellbeing and to support the functioning of the family unit. Bre works holistically with other support systems around the child including teachers, GPs and other allied health professionals.
Bre has experience working in school settings, university clinics, inpatient, rehabilitation, and not-for-profit organisations. She believes that every client is unique, and she is flexible to each client’s presentation and needs. She enjoys bringing a sense of humour and play into sessions with young children. She is trauma-informed and non-judgemental of each person’s journey.
