Mariana Ricci is a Psychologist with over 8 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents and adults, including five years within a public hospital setting, working with patients across the lifespan, and with a wide variety of difficulties.
With a deep interest in Psychodynamic Therapies, Mariana undertook a three-year post-graduate course in Psychoanalysis. In addition, during her years in the USA, Mariana trained in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). A parent herself, she successfully applies this approach in her work with children and families. Mariana offers a range of evidence based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in addition to her psycho-dynamic framework.
She brings an eclectic, compassionate and caring approach, adopting a unique combined and complementary approach, using all her knowledge to provide the best treatments to reach each of her client’s individual needs. Mariana works with clients presenting a wide range of psychological issues, including:
- developing self-awareness and self-growth,
- relationship issues,
- personality disorders,
- bipolar disorders,
- trauma, and
- grief and loss.
Mariana is bilingual and can provide therapy in either English or Spanish.
Like the rest of the Mindworx Psychology team, Mariana is passionate about Psychology and she strongly believes that psychological health is as important as physical health. She acknowledges that psychological injuries can impact our lives substantially and should not be ignored, as there are proven techniques we can use to improve our wellbeing and relationships, leading to a happier life.
Mariana sees clients by appointment Saturdays, and by arrangement on selected weekdays.
