Melissa Trapolini, Registered Psychologist

Melissa Trapolini is a registered psychologist with many years’ experience of working within the school setting. Melissa has extensive experience in schools providing psychological assessment and therapy to support young people and their families.

Melissa’s engaging, empathetic nature and compassionate approach help young people and their parents feel supported, valued and empowered to make positive changes. She believes in the importance of working with parents and carers to support children’s social and emotional development. 

Melissa maintains the client as the focal point whilst building therapeutic, respectful and supportive relationship in a culturally safe environment. She seeks to create awareness, empower her clients to identify their strengths and apply strategies in order for them to live a meaningful life. She has supported clients in managing anxiety, depression, study and work stress, self-worth, relationship and life challenges and wellbeing. 

Melissa is committed to a client-centred approach, whereby clients direct their own goals for therapy. She incorporates techniques from a range of evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy to support clients to achieve their goals and fulfill their own potential for growth.

We are delighted to welcome Melissa to the team at Mindworx Psychology. She brings a wealth of experience in working with young adults and teens, and a depth of expertise in navigating the educational and school systems.

Please note that due to work boundaries, and her ongoing supervisory work in secondary schools, Melissa is unable to work with clients who attend specific schools in Sydney – our intakes team will check suitability prior to booking your appointments.

Melissa offers face to face and telehealth appointments.

Fees & Insurance

You do not need a GP referral to book an appointment at Mindworx Psychology.

Medicare Rebates are available if you have a valid referral from a GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician.

Your Private Health Fund may offer cover for Psychology Services – you can check this directly with your fund.
