Cognitive behavioural therapy

Current research tells us that cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a gold standard treatment for a range of psychological issues such as stress, depression and anxiety.

This type of therapy tackles the physical symptoms of anxiety and depression (like the racing heart, appetite changes, fatigue, or the changes in sleep), as well as targeting the unhelpful thoughts and the unhelpful behaviours that can maintain the disorders.

We believe one therapy doesn’t fit everyone.

In addition to CBT, our Clinical Psychologists are experienced in a range of world leading therapeutic approaches including narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, interpersonal therapy, psycho-dynamic therapy, solution focused therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, eye movement therapies…and more.

Fees & Insurance

You do not need a GP referral to book an appointment at Mindworx Psychology.

Medicare Rebates are available if you have a valid referral from a GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician.

Your Private Health Fund may offer cover for Psychology Services – you can check this directly with your fund.
