Expert, Neuro-Affirming Therapy, Coaching & School Guidance

An autism diagnosis is just the beginning of your child’s journey. Whether your child is newly diagnosed or you’ve always known they are autistic, the right support, strategies, and guidance can make a world of difference.

At Mindworx Psychology, we offer specialised autism support services for children and teenagers, helping them thrive at home, school, and in social settings. We focus on strengths, sensory needs, emotional regulation, and executive functioning skills – all in a neurodiversity-affirming way.

How we suport Autistic Children and Teens

Autistic children and teens often experience unique strengths and challenges in different areas. Our expert autism psychologists provide tailored therapy, coaching, and school advocacy to ensure your child gets the support they need.

Post-Diagnosis Support & Parent Guidance

A diagnosis can bring clarity and relief, but many parents feel unsure about what to do next, or how to help. Diagnosis alone doesn’t resolve challenges. We provide practical, neuro-affirming support to help your family adjust and plan for the future.

  • What an autism diagnosis means for your child
  • Explaining autism to family, teachers, and friends
  • How to support your child’s executive functioning
  • How to support your child’s emotional & sensory needs
  • School advocacy: understanding IEPs, ILPs & accommodations
  • Building self-confidence & self-understanding

Autism Coaching: School, University and Workplace Support

Autistic children often struggle in traditional school environments, especially when their needs aren’t recognised or supported. This is one of our passion areas, and we work with schools and businesses across Australia to understand and support neurodiversity.

We help families navigate school accommodations, Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), and NDIS funding to ensure children get the support they deserve.

  • Advocating for school accommodations & sensory-friendly classrooms
  • Supporting transitions between primary & high school
  • Understanding your child’s rights in education
  • Helping teachers understand autistic learning styles

We Are a Neuro-Affirming Practice

At Mindworx Psychology, we embrace neurodiversity and reject outdated, deficit-based approaches to autism. You won’t hear us use labels like “high-functioning” or “ASD” – we focus on autism as a difference, not a disorder.

We proudly support LGBTQ+ autistic individuals, gender-diverse neurodivergent people, and all spiky-profile and quirky thinkers. Whether you need support, therapy, or community, we’re here for you.
