Helping Neurodivergent Teens and Their Families Thrive
MIND YOUR MIND GROUPS FOR AUTISTIC TEENS AND THEIR PARENTS
At Mindworx Psychology, our popular Mind Your Mind (MYM) Groups offer neurodivergent teens and their parents/carers a safe, supportive space to build essential skills, boost resilience, and connect with others who truly understand their experiences.
Supporting Autistic folk is one of our areas of passion. Our Mind Your Mind groups and workshops are a growing series of groups and workshop events, authentically created by our team of neurodivergent Psychologists, and geared towards neurodivergent teens, tweens and their parents.
Each program stands alone and can be completed in any order. We have groups for Autistic teens, and for parents of Primary and High School children with Autism.
- Groups – tend to run weekly, usually 90 minutes.
- Workshops – a longer format, typically on a weekend morning.
Groups For Autistic Teens
It’s so important our autistic young people receive neuro-affirming, trauma informed supports. Our programs draw from evidence-based therapies – and are adapted for a neurodiverse audience, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). All groups tailored for neurodiverse minds that learn and think differently. Each structured group provides practical tools to help manage emotions, navigate challenges, and strengthen relationships.
Support Groups for Parents of Autistic Children
Whether you’re parenting an autistic or AuDHD teen, and looking for support strategies or a parent of a newly diagnosed child seeking effective ways to support your child, our Mind Your Mind Groups or Workshops are designed provide the guidance and support you need.

Once you have completed the Expression of Interest form for a teen group, our intakes officer will contact you to discuss the next steps. New clients to the practice will need to complete the intake process, which includes an assessment session, before being booked into a group. Existing clients will be reviewed for suitability, and availability in the requested group will be confirmed. If a group is full, you will be placed on a waitlist and contacted when a spot becomes available.
For parent/carer groups, once the Expression of Interest form has been submitted, our intakes officer will reach out to book you into the next available session. You will also need to complete an intake form before attending. If no upcoming group is available, you will be added to a waitlist and notified when a new group opens.
