Employee Assistance Services and more

WorkCover, Motor Accidents, Employee Assistance and return to work Psychologists

A SIRA workcover psychologist is accredited by WorkCover NSW, and NSW Motor Accidents Authority (MAA) to provide treatment services to injured persons with a focus on achieving a safe and sustainable return to work.

As a provider of Clinical Psychology Treatment services, our SIRA workcover psychologists work with a number of employers, large and small, across Sydney.

Accidents, injuries and workplace stress can all have a serious impact on life, affecting the ability to work. At Mindworx Psychology, our workcover therapists can provide assessment, treatment and assistance to help clients overcome the difficulties faced by life’s unexpected or challenging events. These can include stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, pain management, interpersonal adjustment, grief, loss and life adjustment.

Mindworx Psychology & Counselling provides a range of services to employers and employees, with all of our programs based on collaboration and frequent communication with other treatment providers and ongoing treatment reports.

EAP: Employee Assistance Programs

At Mindworx Psychology, our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) has been designed to build healthy, meaningful experiences for individuals and their workplaces. Modern workplaces acknowledge that by focusing on the psychological wellbeing of all employees, productivity and engagement can increase.  Our EAP work with local businesses can often include assisting employees as well as their immediate family members.

Through evidence based assessment and interventions, our goal is to provide early detection, and faster resolution of  work and personal problems that adversely affect performance and wellbeing.

Employer funded EAP programs are paid for by the organisation, but tend to be independent from your workplace. Our range of EAP programs includes short-term, solution focused counselling by video, phone, and in person, and executive coaching strategies.

Workcover NSW – SIRA Workcover Psychologist

We welcome enquiries and referrals from GP’s, insurers, rehabilitation providers, employers, solicitors, and individuals for psychological assessment and clinical treatment of persons experiencing mental health concerns associated with a compensable work-related injury.

At Mindworx Psychology we can assist with psychological management and recovery from injury. As a part of the worker’s compensation scheme, you may be entitled to Psychologist treatment services in relation to your injury if it is recommended by your Treating Doctor.

EAP: Employee Assistance Programs

Mindworx Psychology works with a number of businesses and local organisations to provide employee assistance programs. We welcome enquiries from employers and HR teams about our services, and how they may be tailored to meet the needs of your workforce.

Clients may be referred for mental health and emotional concerns such as:

  • bullying

  • health and wellness coaching
  • weight management

  • recovery and injury rehabilitation

  • psychological assessment

  • career transitions and adjustments

Mindworx Psychology can seek approval for treatment from your insurer if required – our clients must provide a WorkCover medical certificate from your Treating Doctor indicating a recommendation that you see a Psychologist.
This means these services are provided at no cost to the client.

A Warm Welcome, Gold Standard Treatments

Our Psychologists are experienced, offering a warm welcome and gold standard treatments for clients, in conjunction with close collaboration with all parties. Interventions are practical, with a focus on building the client’s self-management skills, promoting a safe and early return to work of injured workers.

At Mindworx Psychology we strictly adhere to the WorkCover guidelines for psychological treatment. This ensures all services are “reasonable and necessary” and time-limited. Following a client assessment, we develop a tailored treatment plan in conjunction with the injured worker, and use relevant outcome measures to track progress.

We will work with you, your doctor, and insurer, to assist in prompt assessment and treatment toward your psychological health.
