Clinical Psychology and Counselling
Although anxiety and sadness are normal human emotions, there may be times when low mood, or anxiety and worry or other problems begin to interfere with life and our ability to do those things we enjoy.
When relationships are affected, or our work, or our child's school-life is impacted then psychology and counselling services may help.
Evidence Based Treatments
Mindworx Psychology combines the latest research with the science of psychology, and adds a pinch of positive attitude. By approaching problems such as anxiety, stress, ADHD or depression holistically, we are willing to look both inside and outside the box for solutions to your problems.
Sometimes we go looking for your motivation too – but whatever your problem, the seeds of change are already taking root (because you’re here, reading this page, and that means you’re already contemplating making changes).
Cognitive behavioural therapy
Current research tells us that cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a gold standard treatment for a range of psychological issues such as stress, depression and anxiety.
This type of therapy tackles the physical symptoms of anxiety and depression (like the racing heart, or the changes in sleep), as well as the unhelpful thoughts and the unhelpful behaviours that can maintain the disorders.
We believe one therapy doesn't fit everyone.
In addition to CBT, our psychologists are experiencedin a range of world leading therapeutic approaches.
Emotional wellbeing...What's normal?
Did you know 90% of Australians report feeling stressed?
Anxiety is the most common mental condition in Australia, and it is estimated that 1 in 4 people will be affected by anxiety, and 1 in 7 people will be affected by depression in their lifetime. The good news is that anxiety disorders and depression can be treated, regardless of age. We believe that people can successfully learn to overcome anxiety and depression and get back to enjoying their lives.
Therapy: A rewarding experience
Therapy can be an exhilarating and rewarding journey, especially when you discover that you can be free of issues and life traps that you thought you were stuck with forever. Whilst it can be hard work, it is always rewarding and a great investment in your quality of life.
