Claire Korte is a Provisionally Registered Psychologist, in the final months of her six years of training, who is completing her internship at Mindworx Psychology.
Prior to joining us in private practice, Claire has worked in multi-disciplinary school settings as part of the school wellbeing team, as a school psychologist. In these roles she conducted group and individual therapy sessions, and creating workshops for students focused on friendships and emotional regulation. She brings five years of counselling experience, as well as clinical experience in delivering therapies wuch as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), Family Systems and Narrative Therapy with children and families.
Claire is familiar with and has delivered a number of programs including ‘Engaging Adolescents’ parenting program, and cognitive behavioural therapy programs such as ‘Take Action’ and ‘Zones of Regulation’. She is passionate about early intervention and mental health.
All provisional psychologists who join the Mindworx Psychology team already have experience working with children and young people in addition to their University qualifications.
Claire has worked with children who have challenging behaviours and has experience working with children diagnosed with Autism. She works collaboratively with parents, has experience providing NDIS services and we are delighted to have her on our team. Claire has recently sat and passed the Psychology Board exams, and is in the final stages of completing her internship training.
Claire works full time and sees clients by appointment Monday to Friday.
